Dorothy C. Beehner, 93, formerly of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Tuesday, September 02, 2014, at Port Haven in Port Washington. Dorothy was born on March 8, 1921, in Belleville, Illinois, daughter of Frank and Maude (Kelley) Kelly. She received her Bachelor's degree in education from Southern Illinois University. On March 8, 1945, Dorothy married John Lee Beehner in East St. Louis, Missouri. John passed away on November 13, 1990. Dorothy was employed in the Younker's shoe department for 27 years. Dorothy was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls, where she was an avid church goer. She was also a Pine Haven volunteer. She enjoyed family activities, bridge, pinochle, and antiques. Dorothy will always be remembered as being a great conversationalist and a wonderful encourager. Dorothy is survived by her four daughters, Mary Ann (Dr. Raza) Khan of Lake Bluff, IL, Dorothy (Robert Kane of Chatham, IL, Cathy (John) Deely of Menomonee Falls and Beth (J.P.) Osnes of Boulder, CO; her three sons, Dr. Michael (Harrilyn) Beehner of Saratoga Springs, NY, Dr. Mark (Judy) Beehner of Phoenix, AZ and Deacon Bob (Mary Jane) Beehner of Manitowoc; 37 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Helga Kelly of Thorton, CO and Ann Kelly of O'Fallon, IL; one son-in-law, Patrick Hackett of Grafton; and one daughter-in-law, Teena Beehner of Omaha, NE. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, John Lee Beehner, two daughters, Janet Beehner and Patricia Hackett, one son, John Beehner, one daughter-in-law, Adrienne Beehner, a sister, Mary Kelly, three brothers, Jack, Edward, and Glenn Kelly, and a grandson, Sean Deely. A Memorial Mass to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, September 5, 2014, at Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Bob Lotz and Deacon Bob Beehner officiating. The committal will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls. Relatives and friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Thursday, September 4, 2014, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, followed by a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Additional visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:30 am until the time of Mass at 10:30 am. A memorial fund has been established in Dorothy's name for Blessed Trinity Parish.
