Doris Roska

Doris L. Roska, 94, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Thursday morning, July 10, 2014, at Gables of Germantown. Doris was born on January 31, 1920, in Plymouth, daughter of the late August and Augusta (Mueller) Miller. She was a 1937 graduate of Plymouth High School and graduated from Sheboygan Business College in 1939. On October 11, 1947, she married John Herbert Roska at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cascade. John passed away on September 11, 2005. Doris was employed as a Confidential Secretary for Kohler Company until her retirement in 1985. Doris was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. She was a member of Legion Post 149 Auxiliary, library board, and the Sheboygan County Historical Research Center. Doris enjoyed reading, traveling, walking, flowers, helping with her grandchildren, and was an excellent baker and cook. Doris is survived by her two daughters, Judy (Bruce) Hatch of California and Carol (Christopher) Mastronardo of Germantown; her two sons, John (Carmen) Roska of Sheboygan Falls and Robert Roska of Elkhart Lake; six grandchildren, Rebecca (Brett) Dethmers, Courtney (Trever) Athorp, Holly Roska, Kelly Roska, John James Roska, and LaReine Hatch; six great-grandchildren, Britton, Mary, John, Lacey, Emrik, and Coralyn; and one sister-in-law, Dorothy Miller. Doris is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John, and her brother, Theodore Miller. Funeral services to celebrate Doris' life will be held at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Mark Janzen officiating. Burial will take place at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 4:00 pm until the time of the service at 6:30 pm. A memorial fund has been established in Doris' name for the American Legion Auxiliary #149.
