Dorathy Downs

Dorathy Elizabeth Downs, 97, of Plymouth, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls.Dorathy was born on December 18, 1921, in Highland Park, MI to Robert and Margaret (Gilmour) Bernard. She was a graduate of Highland Park High School and later served her county in the US Women's Army Corps from 1943 until 1945. Dorathy was a member of Open Door Bible Church in Port Washington and a proud member of the Daughters of American Revolution chapter in Plymouth chapter. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, needle point, and spending time with her family and friends. Dorathy is survived by her daughter, Margaret Morrison of Rochester, MN; and two grandchildren, Jack "Ken" Morrison, and Dawn (Nicholas) Josefik.Private interment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veteran Memorial Cemetery in Racine.
