Donald E. Wolfert, 71, of W3353 County Rd. V, Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls after a lengthy illness. Donald was born on September 20, 1938 in Sheboygan, son of the late Frank and Crescentia (Stalter) Wolfert. On June 20, 1959 he married Sandra Scribner at St. Peter Claver Church in Sheboygan. Donald was employed at Willmans Industries in Cedar Grove for 29 years until his retirement in 1996. Donald was a member of Blessed Trinity Church in Sheboygan Falls. In his spare time he enjoyed tinkering with engines and was known to friends and family as Mr. Fix-it. He also enjoyed sport fishing, stock car racing, Nascar, and loved his dogs. Donald will always be remembered for building his family home, making shadow boxes and his love of moped riding with Sandra. Survivors include his wife Sandra; his daughter Susan (Steven) Hedstrom of Cascade; three sons, Patrick (Diane) Wolfert of Plymouth, Scott (Laurie) Wolfert of Waldo, and Steve (fiance' Sue Kupsch) Wolfert of Sheboygan Falls; nine grandchildren, Pamela (Brian), Sarah, Justin, Megan, Stephanie, Matthew, Ashley, Brennan, and Cammeron; three great granddaughters, Faith, Laura, and Adlyn; two brothers, Frank (Irma) Wolfert of Sheboygan, Thomas (Cindy) Wolfert of Sheboygan Falls. Donald is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Richard and John, one sister, Mary Gorr, and one grandson, Brandon Wolfert. Funeral service will be held on Sunday November 15, 2009 at 7:00 pm at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with Deacon Sy Regan officiating. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00 pm until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established in Donald's name for the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
