Donald G. Steuerwald, 82, of Sheboygan Falls died on Saturday evening, August 10, 2013 at the Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. Donald was born on October 1, 1930 in Batavia, the son of Oswald and Neoma (Pierce) Steuerwald. He graduated from Waldo High School in 1948. On November 11, 1950 he married Marlene Stokdyk in Hingham. Marlene preceded him in death on April 23, 1993. Donald worked for the Kohler Co. for 37 years prior to his retirement in 1992. He also worked enjoyed his part time job at Roy's Tree Farm. Donald was a member of the Kohler Quarter Century Club, Kohler Camping Club, and was a Boy Scout leader. He was a handyman and enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling. Donald looked forward to having coffee at McDonalds each morning with his friends, but most of all, he cherished attending his grandchildren's and great grandchildren's school and sporting events. He is survived by one daughter, Pam (Roger) McCoy of Sheboygan Falls, four sons, Tom (Kris) Steuerwald of Sheboygan, John (Lori) Steuerwald of Cascade, Richard Steuerwald of Waldo and William Steuerwald of Kansas City, MO; 14 grandchildren, Jason (Jaime) McCoy, Michael (Nicole) McCoy, Kevin (Meghan) McCoy, Michael (friend Sharrea) Larson, Stephanie (friend Brian) Larson, Lyndsey (Jacob) Kailing, Amy (Bob) Becker, Jordan Steuerwald, Nicholas Steuerwald, Josh Brasted, Sean Brasted, Heather Brasted, William and Justin Steuerwald; 8 great grandchildren; one sister, Beverly (Alan) Garside of Cedar Grove; two sisters-in-law, Louise Steuerwald of Sheboygan and Ione Liebenstein of Waldo. Donald is also survived by a dear friend, Marge Hartlaub of Sheboygan. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Marlene; a daughter-in-law, Debra Steuerwald; and two brothers, Jerome and Gerald Steuerwald. A funeral to celebrate Donald's life will take place at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 1 pm with the Rev. James Gilliam officiating. Burial will take place at Hingham Cemetery in the Town of Lima. Family and friends will gather at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Tuesday from 10 am until the time of the service at 1 pm.
