Donald Schultz

August 1, 1928 — April 14, 2015

Donald H. Schultz, 86, of Oostburg, passed into eternal life Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. Donald was born August 1, 1928, in Milwaukee, son of Harold and Evelyn (Beckwith) Schultz. He proudly served our country in the US Army during WW II from 1945-1947. On December 27, 1969 he married Sandra Weinke in Milwaukee. Donald was a member of the Saukville Moose Lodge, Saukville Gun Club, Saukville Snowmobile Club and was a dedicated volunteer for veteran assistance. In recent years Don enjoyed playing cribbage, solitaire, and watching old western movies. He was an avid Milwaukee Brewers and Brett Farve fan. Donald also enjoyed building and fixing things around the home, boating and fishing on Lake Michigan, and hunting in his woods of northern Wisconsin. Donald and Sandra enjoyed many years of vacationing to the north woods of Wisconsin in summer and were South Texas "snowbirds" in winter. He fondly cherished the many friendships made during these travels. Donald was the loving husband of 45 years to Sandra; cherished father of Stephanie Schultz of Oostburg, Janine (Jerry) Lindblom of Colorado, and Dale (Sherri) Schultz of Rothschild; grandpa to Amanda (Todd) James, Ashley Schultz, and Donnie Schultz, his namesake; and great-grandpa to Gage, Caleb, Kameron, Jesse James. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, and eldest daughter, Sharon DeGuzman, formerly of Milwaukee. Relatives and friends may greet the family from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Saturday, April 18, 2015. Military Honors will take place at 1 PM. Inurnment will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park in Wausau. A memorial fund has been established in Donald's name for Stars and Stripes Honor Flight and the Wounded Warrior Project.
