Donald "Nick" Lee Nichelson

Donald “Nick” Lee Nichelson, 70, of Adell, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at his home.

Nick was born on December 13, 1952, to Willard and Lujean (Wiedeman) Nichelson in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1975-1978.

Nick was united in marriage to Wendy Fernandez on January 6, 2012, in Port Washington. He was employed at WE Energies for 32 years as a gas line pipe fitter. Nick was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing.

Nick is survived by his wife of 11 years, Wendy; children, Craig Nichelson, Shane Nichelson, Kenneth Goodwin, Kevin (Avelyn) Fernandez; 9 grandchildren; brother, Tim (Patty) Nichelson; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Nick was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held at Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Thursday, June 22, 2023, from 1:00pm until 3:00pm. Military honors will take place at 3:00pm.

Memorials are appreciated in Nick’s name.
