Dona Marie Theobald, 80, of Sheboygan Falls passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Center in Sheboygan Falls. Dona was born on July 6, 1936 in Sheboygan, the daughter of Lyman & Esther (Altenburg) Rockafellow. She was a 1954 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School. On July 17, 1954, Dona married Curtiss Theobald at St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Dona worked as a waitress at Walgreens Restaurant in Sheboygan for 17 years and served her family in raising 5 children in a busy household. Curtiss preceded her in death on April 5, 1998. Dona was a faithful member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church where she was active in the women's auxiliary club. She enjoyed gardening, baking, canning, reading, and going up north to their family cabin. Dona was an avid knitter and made hundreds of slippers and scarves for charity. Above all, Dona cherished the memories and time she had with her friends and family. Dona is survived by one daughter, Lori (Scott) McGlade of Sheboygan Falls, four sons, Lyman (Pam) Theobald, Scott (Nancy) Theobald, Jeff Theobald, and Todd (Gina) Theobald, all of Sheboygan Falls; eight grandchildren, Steven (Trina) Theobald, Theresa Theobald, Aimee (Mike) Schmidt, Coral Theobald, Cody Theobald, Brittany Theobald (Scott TeBeest), Jake Theobald, and Zach (Bessa) Theobald; six great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Jeannette Lindow, Betty (Dick) DeYoung, both of Sheboygan Falls, and Naomi (Ralph) Rohr of Arizona. Dona is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Curtiss Theobald, one sister, Dorothy (Dick) Hurlbut, and one brother-in-law, Leonard Lindow. A funeral service to celebrate Dona's life will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church at 10:30 am with Rev. Elizabeth Jaeger officiating. Burial will take place at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls from 4:30-7:30 pm and again on Friday, at the church from 9:30 am until the time of service at 10:30 am A memorial fund is being established in Dona's name for St. Luke's Lutheran Church and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
