Dolores L. Jensema, 75, of 102 N. 15th St., Oostburg, died unexpectedly at her home on Monday, November 27, 2006. She was born May 5, 1931 in the Town of Holland, a daughter of the late Peter J. and Lilah (Lohuis) Jensema. Dolores attended Beaver Creek Elementary School and was a graduate of Oostburg High School. She worked at Oostburg Canning Co. in her earlier years. She later worked at Allen-Edmonds Shoe corp. in Lake Church and Tolibia Cheese in Oostburg. She then was a caregiver for her mother until her death in 1998. Dolores was a member of Gibbsville Reformed Church; Senior Citizens Groups at church and in Oostburg. She enjoyed playing cards, attending family events and senior citizens activities. Survivors include her brother, J. Glenn (Dorothy) Jensema of Oostburg; nine nieces and nephews; 18 great nieces and nephews; two great great nieces and nephews; cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Bernard Schreurs; a nephew; two great nieces; and a great-great nephew. Funeral services for Dolores will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. at Gibbsville Reformed Church with Pastor Rick Ten Dolle, officiating. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the family service at 1:15 p.m. A memorial fund will be established in her name for Gibbsville Reformed Church.
