Diane Olafson

Diane Marie Olafson, age 62, of Sheboygan Falls died Friday, September 22, 2006, at her home surrounded by her family,after a long courageous battle with cancer. Diane was born, April 12 1944, in Park Falls, a daughter of William and Elaine (Englehart) Hoffman. She grew up in Park Falls, attending St. Anthony Grade School and Park Falls High School. On October 26, 1963 she married Gene Olafson in Park Falls. They moved to Sheboygan Falls in 1969. Diane was a loving wife and mother who raised six children. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her husband Gene, four sons, Dan of West Covina, CA, Mike (Sandy) of Sheboygan Falls, Ken (Vicki) of Sheboygan and Jim (Sarah) of Weston two daughters, Becky (Rod) Schmidt of Sheboygan and Jess of Sheboygan Falls, eight grandchildren, Kelly, Amber, Alyssa, Abbie, Michelle, Clint, Taylor and Avery, a great-granddaughter, KateLynn. She is also survived by a sister, Marge (Mike) Treml, two brothers, Bill (Linda) Hoffman and Bob (Pat) Hoffman all of Park Falls, two brothers-in-law, Larry Treml of Lillian, AL and Larry (Kathy) Olafson of Park Falls and a sister-in-law, Donna (Bob) Mader of Park Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law and father-in-law and a sister, Barb Treml. There will be no funeral services and inurnment will be in Nola Cemetery in Park Falls.
