Dennis Arno Wendler, 71, of Sheboygan, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.Dennis was born on July 31, 1948, in Milwaukee. At the age of three, Dennis was adopted by Helmuth and Winnie (Lines) Wendler. He was a graduate of Custer High School. On September 5, 2019, Dennis married Crystal A. Cornell in Sheboygan. Dennis served in the United States Navy for 20 years as an Electronics Technician until his retirement in 1989.He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sheboygan. He was also a member of the Sheboygan Coin Club. He enjoyed reading about American history. Dennis is survived by his spouse, Crystal of Sheboygan, WI; daughter, Laura Stotts; step-son, Joshua Brown; step-daughter, Shawna (Ethan) Debbink; four step-grandchildren, Gabriel, Jaxon, Mason, Jeremiah; three brothers, Steve (Ann) Dickerson, Donald (Nancy) Dickerson, Dale (Marlene) Dickerson; and one sister, Christine (Steven) Jones.Dennis was preceded in death by parents Helmuth and Winnie; and his biological father, Earl Dickerson. A memorial service to celebrate Dennis's life will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at 6:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sheboygan with Bishop Kelly Jackson officiating.Relatives and friends may greet the family at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 5:00 pm until the time of service at 6:00 pm. A memorial fund is being established in his name for National Kidney Foundation and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
