Delores Rammer

Delores A. Rammer, 87, of the Village of Beechwood, and formerly of Sheboygan, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Beechwood Rest Home in Kewaskum. Delores was born on March 10, 1926, in Sheboygan, daughter of Arnold and Anita (Seibert) Schroeder. She was a 1944 graduate of Sheboygan Central High School and received her LPN certification from Lakeshore Technical College. On August 12, 1944, she married Raymond Rammer in Sheboygan. Raymond passed away on December 17, 2010. Together they were the founders and owners of the Beechwood Rest Home. Prior to this, Delores was employed with Kohler Company, National Tinsel, and Wigwam Mills. Delores was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Sheboygan. She was a member of the Beechwood Fire Dept. Auxiliary. Delores enjoyed knitting, dancing, playing cards, big band music, and going to the casino. Delores is survived by two daughters, Cindy Dorn of Beechwood and Chris (Joel) Firme of Adell; two sons, Lee Rammer of West Bend and Scott (Mary) Rammer of Kewaskum; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mae Jean (Kenneth) Messner of Sheboygan Falls and Arnita (Eugene) Drossel of Sheboygan Falls; and one brother-in-law, LeRoy Spettel of Sheboygan Falls. Delores was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Raymond, her son, Barry Rammer, and two sisters, Virginia (Les) Benzschawel, and Carol Spettel. A funeral service to celebrate Delores' life will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, March 14, 2014, at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Phil Reifenberg officiating. Entombment will take place at the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum in the Town of Sheboygan. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until the time of the service at 6:00 pm on Friday. A memorial fund has been established in Delores' name.
