Delores Brill

Delores J. Brill, 82, of Oostburg, died Saturday morning, May 18, 2013 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. Delores was born on June 21, 1930 in Sheboygan, the daughter of Porter and Anna (Luidens) Williams. She graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1948. On May 18, 1949 she married Jonathon Brill in Oostburg. He preceded her in death on November 27, 1987. Delores worked as a nursing assistant at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital for 15 years, Oostburg Bakery for 15 years, and as a foster grandparent at Jackson School in Sheboygan for nine years. Delores was a longtime and devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church in Oostburg where she was a Sunday School teacher, VBS helper, and part of the Women's Society. Delores was a volunteer at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. She enjoyed reading, cooking, playing cards, traveling, and was an avid fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. Delores is survived by two daughters, Cheryl (Tom) Soerens of Costa Rica, Pam (Mark) TeGrotenhuis of Oostburg; one son , John (Kimberly) Brill of Sheboygan Falls; six grandchildren, Casey (Shannoniah) Soerens, Jacob (Stacy) Soerens, Aaron (Ericka) TeGrotenhuis, Jill (Chris) Suess, Shannon (Cindy) Brill, and Nathan Brill; three step grandchildren, Kara, Luke and Jake Menzel; 17 great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Beverly (Wendell) Hoffmann of Oostburg; two brothers-in-law, Jerry (Marge) Brill and Harry (Sandy) Brill, both of Oostburg. Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Jonathon; two brothers, her twin, Wesley (Shirley) Williams and Harvey (Charlotte) Williams. A funeral to celebrate Delores' life will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church in Oostburg with the Rev. Brian Jacobson officiating. Burial will take place at the Oostburg Cemetery in the Town of Holland. Family and friends will gather at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Tuesday from 4-7 pm, and at church on Wednesday from 9:30 am until the time of the service at 10:30 am.
