Darlyn R. Krepsky, 78, of Kohler, died with dignity on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, following an adventurous life. Darlyn was born on November 4, 1933 in Sheboygan, daughter of Elmer and Helen (Messner) Krepsky. She was a 1952 graduate of Kohler High School. Darlyn received her bachelor degree from UW-Eau Claire, her master degree from Ohio State University; and later continued her studies at UW-Oshkosh. Darlyn was a lifelong learner; even up until recently she audited classes at the University of Wisconsin- Sheboygan. Darlyn was a teacher for 5 years in West Bend and taught English for 30 years at Sheboygan North High School until her retirement in 1995. During her retirement, Darlyn was a volunteer at Mead Public Library and was a classroom volunteer for the Sheboygan Area School District. She was a worldwide traveler and had a special fondness for France and England. Darlyn cherished spending time with her nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. She loved the outdoors and took great pride in maintaining her home and her backyard English Country Garden. Darlyn did extensive research on the genealogy and history of the Jacob Messner Family. Darlyn is survived by two brothers, Roland (Mary) Krepsky of Sheboygan and Richard (Marie) Krepsky of Dearborn, MI; 10 nieces and nephews and 16 great nieces and nephews; and one great great niece. Darlyn was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Dorothy (Glenn "Buzz") Walvoort. Private family burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery in Kohler. A celebration of Darlyn's life will be held at a later date. A memorial fund has been established in Darlyn's name for the Mead Public Library or the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center.
