Darlene R. Polster, 79, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Monday morning, October 20, 2014, at Woodland Manor. Darlene was born on September 12, 1935, in Fremont, daughter of Henry and Marion (Pecnik) Niemuth. On July 3, 1954, she married Harry W. Polster in Sheboygan Falls. Harry passed away on June 19, 2012. Darlene was employed with Niemuth Shoes and Clothing in Plymouth and also worked as a consultant for Home Interiors & Gifts for ten years before her retirement. Darlene was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, where she participated in the braille and quilting clubs. She enjoyed quilting, embroidery and other crafts, and playing board games with family and friends. Darlene loved traveling, dancing with her husband, and gardening, especially her flowers. After the onset of Alzheimer's, she enjoyed spending time at the Gathering Place and Project Independence. Darlene is survived by her daughter, Debra (Ron) Rysewyk of Sheboygan Falls; her son, Larry (Sheryl) Polster of Plymouth; seven grandchildren, Jamie Rysewyk, Matthew (Priscilla) Rysewyk, Lacey (Dominic) Breiter, William Polster, Jenny (Nathan) Kraftcheck, Alicia (Travis) Huizenga, and Nick (Nicole) Polster; eight great-grandchildren, Daniel and Emily Rysewyk, Hannah and Josiah Kraftcheck, Kenna Huizenga, and Olivia, Nora and Eli Polster; one sister, Dorothy (John) Kimme of Sheboygan Falls; one brother, Al Niemuth of Plymouth; and three sisters-in law, Ruth Karbe of Sheboygan, Joanie Fuhrmann of Kiel, Ruth Niemuth of Sheboygan. Darlene is further survived by a special nephew, Harry (Lindel) Lambrecht of Sheboygan, a special niece, Margie (Todd) Lindekaugel of Plymouth, and a special cousin, Sandy Mullikin of Sheboygan Falls. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Harry, and four brothers, Marvin, Lawrence, Donald, and Henry Jr. Niemuth. Funeral services to celebrate Darlene's life will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, October 25, 2014, at the Chapel of Eternal Light at Greenlawn Memorial Park in the Town of Sheboygan with Rev. Adam Scheblein officiating. Entombment will take place at the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at the Chapel from 8:30 until the time of the service at 10:30 am. A memorial fund has been established in Darlene's name for Immanuel Lutheran Church.
