Daniel W. Mitchell, 85, of 115 North 15th Street Apt 108, Oostburg, died at his residence on Thursday, January 17, 2008. Daniel was born on July 19, 1922 in Spencer, the son of the late Fred and Elmyra (Jennett) Mitchell. He attended school in the Spencer area. He married the late Joyce Gillman in Spencer in 1944. Later, he married the late Noralee Mueller on October 26, 1970 in Hingham. She preceded him in death on August 4, 1998. Daniel worked at State Foundry in Cedar Grove for 13 years prior to his retirement in 1984. Following his retirement he worked part-time at Mills Fleet Farm in Plymouth for several years. Daniel was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in the Town of Wilson. He enjoyed country western music, playing his guitar, and bicycling. Daniel is survived by three daughters, Maureen (Robert) DeYoung of Waupun, Roxanne (John) Boogren of Shawano, and Sharon (Marvin) Frazier of Adell; two sons, Donald Mitchell of Random Lake and Konrad (Kathy) Mitchell of Shawano; 14 grandchildren, many great grandchildren; one sister, Gloria Ehrens of Rice Lake; four stepsons, Wayne Ranthum of Texas, Bruce Ranthum of Alaska, Keith (Betty) Ranthum of Texas, and Dale (Sandra) Ranthum of Ore City, Texas; and one step daughter, Sandra Gessner of West Bend. He is also survived by Karen Fischer of Random Lake. Funeral services will be held at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg at 11 am on Tuesday January 22, 2008 with the Rev. Frederick Jabs officiating. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in the Town of Wilson. Friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Tuesday from 9:30 am until the time of the service at 11 am.
