Dale R. Korthals, 51, of 721 Center Avenue, Oostburg died unexpectedly at St. Nicholas Hospital Emergency Room early on Monday morning, August 3, 2009. Dale was born on May 26, 1958 in Milwaukee, the son of the late Karl and Lorraine (Arnold) Korthals. He attended West Division and Custer High Schools in Milwaukee. On August 22, 1992 he married Denise Escribano in Milwaukee. Dale worked as a Senior Quality Technician at Capitol Stamping Corp. in Milwaukee for the past 25 years, up until the time of his death. Dale enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, and enjoyed playing the washer game with his wife and three sons. Dale is survived by his wife, Denise; three proud sons, Nicholas, Jesse, and Alex Korthals; one grandson, Dylan Nicholas Korthals; two sisters, Debbie (James) Kursie of Florida, and Karleen Greer of Milwaukee; three brothers, Harry Hack of Florida, Paul Korthals of Greenfield, and Karl Korthals Jr. of Saukville; his parents-in-law, Carlos and Donna Escribano of Milwaukee; two sisters-in-law, Tammy (Anthony) Martinek of Fox Lake, Debbie (Donald Jr.) Greer of Rubicon; and a brother-in-law, Tom (Tracy) Escribano of Milwaukee. Dale is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, a sister-in-law, Sue Korthals; and a brother-in-law, Donald Greer Sr. Funeral services will be held at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 10 am with the Rev. Donald Hasse officiating. Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery in Milwaukee. Friends may greet the family at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Friday from 4-8 pm, and on Saturday from 9 am until the time of the service at 10 am.
