Cyrilla Danks

Cyrilla A. Danks, 97, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at Rainbow Hospice in Johnson Creek, WI. Cyrilla was born on November 23, 1918, in Sheboygan Falls, daughter of William and Frances (Rommelfanger) Janssen. She was a 1936 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School and attended Sheboygan Business College. Cyrilla married Raymond Danks in Sheboygan Falls. Raymond passed away on May 3, 1963. Cyrilla was employed as an administrative assistant for Pinehurst Farms for 20 years and Curt G. Joa, Inc. for 15 years, retiring in 1998. Cyrilla was a lifelong member of Blessed Trinity Parish, where she served as the adult and children's choir director and director of Bells of St. Mary's. She was the church organist for over 60 years. Cyrilla enjoyed music, gardening, reading, canning, cooking, collecting salt and pepper shakers, and playing Bridge. Cyrilla is survived by her daughter, Catherine (William) Kwapil of Watertown; her son, Robert (Laurie) Danks of Aspen, CO; six grandchildren, Kelly (Jennifer) Kwapil, Karla (Julie Allito) Kwapil, Christopher (Jennifer) Danks, Bradley (Joan) Danks, Barry (Stephanie) Danks, and Katy (Matt) Stege; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Carmen Danks of Sheboygan Falls and Irene Danks of Fresno, CA; and her dear friend, Lisa Glander of Sheboygan Falls. Cyrilla was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, her son, James Danks, and her two brothers, William (Bernadette) Janssen and Joseph Janssen. A Memorial Mass to celebrate Cyrilla's life will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 30, 2015, at Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Bob Lotz officiating. Inurnment will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls. Relatives and friends may gather at the church from 9:30 am until the time of Mass at 11:00 am. A memorial fund has been established in Cyrilla's name for Blessed Trinity Parish and Rainbow Hospice.
