Crescentia "Chris" M. Winter, 84, of Sheboygan Falls passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. Chris was born on March 13, 1932 in Sheboygan to Frank and Olga (Richter) Tauschek. She was a 1950 graduate of Sheboygan Central High School. On April 14, 1951 she married Richard Winter at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. Chris was a clerk for Evans Department Store for over 22 years. Chris was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls, where she enjoyed attending bible study. Chris was an avid sports fan, especially the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. She enjoyed the Falls Seniors, spending winters in Florida after retirement and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Chris is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Richard; four children, Cheryl (Thomas) Herboek of Grafton, Michael (Rita) of Howards Grove, Susan (James Sr.) Carlson of Jackson and Daniel (Kristine) Winter of Plymouth; nine grandchildren, Michael (Kristen) Winter, Matthew (Beth) Gartman, Farrah (Nicholas) Rifelj, Joel (Angela) Gartman, Marc (Casie) Winter, James Jr. (Katie) Carlson, Kristin (Steve) Symmonds, Jason (Breanna) Winter, Kevin (fiancé Maddie) Carlson; 14 great grandchildren; one brother, Roland Tauschek of Sheboygan Falls; two sisters-in-law, LaVerne Tauschek and Fern Berger both of Sheboygan and one brother-in-law, Thomas (Charmayne) Winter of Sheboygan Falls. Chris is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son-in-law, Randall Gartman; one grandson, Craig Carlson; three brothers, Anton, Frank and Bernard Tauschek; two half brothers, John and Andrew Biderwolf; and two half sisters, Theresa Schultz and Anna Zimmerman. A funeral service to celebrate Chris' life will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 11:30 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Tom Gudmundson officiating. Entombment will be held at the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum in Sheboygan. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday, March 3, 2017 at the church from 10 am until the time of service at 11:30 am. A memorial fund is being established for St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Chris' name.
