Cordell Brueckbauer

Cordell E. Brueckbauer, 97, of Plymouth, and formerly of Kohler, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2015, at the Waterford of Plymouth. Cordell was born on August 11, 1917, in the Town of Lyndon, daughter of Otto and Mary Elizabeth (Kampmann) Emley. She was a 1935 graduate of Plymouth High School and attended Sheboygan Business College. On November 21, 1941, she married Roger Brueckbauer. Roger passed away on October 6, 2004. Cordell was a member of St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in Kohler. She was a member of the Kohler Women's Club, bowling and golf leagues, bridge club, and served as a Cub Scout den mother. Cordell enjoyed the outdoors, trips to the Door County cottage, winters in Florida, traveling, golf, bowling, playing cards, and going for walks. Cordell is survived by her three daughters, Elizabeth (Robert) Gilboy of Arizona, Mary (David) Salkowski of Sheboygan, and Ann (Gary) Wingert of Pennsylvania; her two sons, Robert Brueckbauer of Green Bay and Roger (Nerissa) Brueckbauer of Illinois; eleven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Cordell was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Roger, her daughter-in-law, Margaret Brueckbauer, two sisters, Elizabeth (Eddie) Bares and Jureen Emley, and three brothers, Gerald (Elvira) Emley, Vernon (Shirley) Emley, and Monroe (Dorothy) Emley. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Cordell's life will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 10, 2015, at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in Kohler with Rev. Bob Lotz officiating. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery in Kohler. Relatives and friends may greet the family at the church from 9:00 am until the time of the Mass on Monday. A memorial fund has been established in Cordell's name for the Alzheimer's Association.
