Clarice Rose

Clarice Rose, 77, of New Holstein and formerly of Sheboygan, passed away on Sunday evening, April 10, 2011 at the Homestead Care Center in New Holstein where she resided for the past 12 years. Clarice was born on September 17, 1933 in Plymouth, daughter of Allen and Meta Louise (Krueger) Schoenfeld. She was a 1951 graduate of Oostburg High School. Clarice was employed with Thonet Furniture Co. for many years. She enjoyed drawing, music, art, puzzles and houseplants. Clarice had a love of dogs, shopping and enjoyed sweets, especially chocolate. Clarice is survived by one daughter, Carrie (Thomas) Lisch of New Holstein; four sons, Dennis (Jill) Schilling of Gibbsville, Gary (Jody) Schilling of Fort Worth, TX, Steven Schilling of Milwaukee and Brian (Jeannie) Thimmig of Tacoma, WA; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Lyle (Deloris) Schoenfeld of Sheboygan. Clarice was preceded in death by two brothers, Jay (Carol) Schoenfeld and Milford (Delores) Bruse. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with the Pastor Paul Tautges officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Sheboygan. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm. A memorial fund has been established in Clarice's name for the Homestead Care Center Auxiliary.
