Clarence Boenisch

Clarence A. Boenisch, 97, of Sheboygan, passed away on Wednesday evening, August 12, 2015, at Pine Haven Christian Home where he resided for the past seven years. Clarence was born on September 12, 1917, in Sheboygan, son of Alfred and Emily (Duchow) Boenisch. He attended Immanuel School in Sheboygan and received his Associate's degree as a barber from MATC. Clarence served in the US Army from 1941-1945. On November 19, 1949, he married Irma Stoeckhardt in Sheboygan. Irma passed away on December 7, 2002. Clarence was employed as a time keeper for the Sheboygan County Highway Department for 35 years until his retirement in 1983. Clarence was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. He enjoyed fishing, card playing, baseball, football, and basketball. Clarence is survived by his two sons, Richard (Lynn) Boenisch of Sheboygan Falls and Paul (Donna) Boenisch of Lees Summit, MO; six grandchildren, David (Bethany) Boenisch, Robert (Angela) Boenisch, Matthew (Kayla) Boenisch, Elizabeth (Zacharias) Theobald, Tonya Boenisch, and Danielle Boenisch; and six great-grandchildren. Clarence was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Irma, one son, Thomas Boenisch, one sister, Elvera, and two brothers, Alvin and Raymond. Funeral services to celebrate Clarence's life will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Tom Gudmundson officiating. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in the Town of Wilson. Relatives and friends may greet the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 3:00 pm until the time of the service at 4:00 pm. A memorial fund has been established in Clarence's name for Bethesda Lutheran Home in Watertown.
