Christopher Alan Daane

Christopher Alan Daane, 34, of Plymouth, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

Chris was born on March 28, 1988, to Bob and Diane (Wilterdink) Daane in Milwaukee. While growing up, Chris enjoyed swimming, going to the zoo, horseback riding with REINS, and participating in the Best Buddies Club. He graduated from Oostburg High School.

Over the years Chris attended day programs in the area, including RCS in Sheboygan. Chris lived at Milestones Group Home for 8 1/2 years and loved his many caregivers and friends. He enjoyed listening to music, watching movies and game shows, bowling, and celebrating holidays. Chris also loved to sing, and he had a contagious laugh and a smile that would always brighten your day.

Chris is survived by his parents, Bob Daane and Diane Daane; siblings, Timothy (Alisha) Daane and Kimberly (fiancé Kurt) Daane; grandma, Anita Daane; special friend, Kelly Jordan; aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his infant sister, Brittany Lila Daane; grandparents, Edward Daane, Marvin and Dorothy Wilterdink.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Chris’ name to Camp Evergreen, REINS, and RCS.

Chris’ family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Kelly and the caregivers of Milestones for their care and friendship over the years.
