Christine Brown

Christine A. Brown, 53, of Cleveland, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, June 18, 2013, at St. Nicholas Hospital. Christine was born on September 21, 1959, in Denver, CO, the daughter of James and Janice (McCullouch) Stephens. She graduated from Bear Creek High School in Lakewood, Colorado in 1977. Christine worked as an account representative with various medical insurance companies. Christine was an active volunteer and supporter for the Wisconsin Organ Donor Network, especially following her own chance for an extended life becoming a kidney-pancreas recipient in July 1998. Christine loved God, her family, many friends and had a special love for dogs. She also enjoyed Facebook and her IPad, Rascal Flats, and reading. She and Kevin just returned from a memorable Alaskan cruise. Christine is survived by her husband, Kevin of Cleveland; her mother, Janice Stephens of Denver; three sisters, Vickie (Rick) Stiger, Pam (Alan) Dunaway and Sandra Nelson, nieces and nephews, all of Colorado. Christine is also survived by her parents-in-law, Ron and Kay Brown of Vincennes, IN, Christine was preceded in death by father, James Stephens; and brother-in-law Donnie Nelson. Funeral services to celebrate Christine's life will be held at the Wenig Funeral Home on Monday, June 24, 2013 at 11 am. Burial will follow at the Woodland Cemetery in Kohler. Relatives and friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Sunday, June 23, 2013 from 3-6 pm, and on Monday, from 10 am until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established in Christine's name for the Wisconsin Organ Donor Network or the Sheboygan Humane Society.
