Carol R. Moths, 85, of 130 Cherry St., Sheboygan Falls, died Friday, June 6, 2008 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. Carol was born August 22, 1922 in Sheboygan, the daughter of the late Harry and Gertrude (Clicquennoi) Katte. She was a 1940 graduate of Sheboygan North High School. Carol married Merlin Moths on October 4, 1947 in Sheboygan. She was a secretary for Kohler Company and Prudential Insurance before retiring in 1979. She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist in Sheboygan where she was a choir member from 1950 until the time of her death. She was a member of the Sheboygan Music Club, Wisconsin Federation Music Clubs; a voting poll volunteer; pianist, organist and soloist. Carol enjoyed music and loved to share her musical talents at nursing homes. She also enjoyed travel, her cottage in Door County, cooking and especially her family. She always put caring for others first. Survivors include her husband, Merlin; one daughter, Debra (Duncan Adams) Moths of Kiel; one son, Jeffrey (R.J. Kasalajtis) Moths of Whitefish Bay; two grandchildren, Logan Moths Adams of Baton Rouge, LA and Gaar Moths Adams, a student at New York University; and one sister-in-law, Helen Katte of Sheboygan; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Cornelius, Jacob and Wesley Katte. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 9, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Luke United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Roger Clapp, pastor, officiating. A private family inurnment will take place at Gardens of Peace Mausoleum at a later date. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services. A memorial fund will be established in her name.
