Carl H. “Chuck” Wick, Jr., 65, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away unexpectedly at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan on June 29, 2023.
Born to Carl and Marie Reiser Wick (Mastalski) on September 3, 1957, Carl grew up in Elkhart Lake, a place where many friendships and memories were formed. Carl graduated from Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah High School in 1975.
Carl went on to receive a degree in Mechanical Drafting from Lakeshore Technical College. Carl's professional career consisted of time spent as a Draftsman, Maintenance Supervisor for Sheboygan County Comprehensive Health Center, and Pine Haven Christian Home. He was also a Special Deputy for the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department.
From his early days fishing on Elkhart Lake, to hunting, or his involvement and active memberships at Whitetail Bowhunters and Sheboygan Falls Conversation Club, Carl was an avid outdoor enthusiast. He extended that love for the outdoors to the next generation-teaching his children and grandchildren hunter safety, archery, and fishing.
Carl was known for his great sense of humor and positivity throughout his life. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, lending a helping hand, and tinkering in the garage. Above all, he cherished time with his family. He was generous, caring, and will be forever missed.
Carl married the love of his life Robin Bowser on July 2nd, 1977. Carl is survived by his loving wife of nearly 46 years. He is further survived by his two children, Travis (Krystal) Wick, and Tamara (Aaron) Cotter; grandchildren, Jaden Wick, Dominic Cotter, Grant Cotter, and Garrett Wick; sisters, Bonnie (Harry) Pearson, Colleen (Jim) Tinnirello; nieces and nephews, Eily Bowser, Scott Pearson, Merry Pearson, Carla (Dave) Schwoerer, Jeff Pearson; brother-in-law, Jeff (Dana Brook) Bowser; parents-in-law, Robert & Dorothy Bowser. He is further survived by many other beloved relatives, great friends, and wonderful neighbors.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Marie; uncle, Elmer (Veronica) Reiser, aunt, Gladys (Don) Bauer, and maternal and paternal grandparents.
A Celebration of Life to remember and celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, August 5, from 11am until 4pm at the Bulitz Farm at N6327 Rangeline Road in Kohler.
When not found in the garage, Carl could be found in the kitchen taste testing and creating new family favorite recipes. Please consider sending one of your personal favorite recipes to the family in Chuck’s honor by mailing it to PO Box 141, Sheboygan Falls, WI 53085.
Charitable memorial contributions can be made to Wheel Em Inn, a non-profit organization assisting disabled individuals experience the thrill of hunting.
