Carey S. Judd, 52, of Sheboygan died unexpectedly on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at her home. Carey was born on September 13, 1962 in 29 Palms, California, the daughter of Harlan Hunter and Patricia (Smith) Hunter. She attended Ozaukee High School and then received her CNA training. Carey worked at Bemis Mfg. in Sheboygan Falls as a line operator for the past several years. She attended Praise Fellowship and enjoyed baking, cooking, knitting, gardening, motorcycle riding, reading, drawing, writing, and computer games. Carey was very fond of her pets. Her children most remember their Mumma's love of holiday baking including her spritz cookies and playing the game Bunko at Christmas time. Patricia remembers the family cookouts and Carey pitching in to help. Her sister, Debbie Lauren, remembers playing backgammon, checkers and card games. Her husband John Judd remembers her love of antique collecting. Her brother, Thomas Hunter, will miss his beloved sister. Carey is survived by her husband, John of Sheboygan; her mother, Patricia Darling of West Bend; three daughters, Samantha (partner Jonathan Wirtanen) Hernandez of Sturgeon Bay, Chrysa (fiance Daniel McIntosh) Hernandez of Waukesha, and Alicia (friend Jeremy Krause) Hernandez of Cedar Grove; one son, Dan (friend Melissa Basler)Hernandez of Sheboygan; one granddaughter, Maria Hernandez; one sister, Deb (Ted) Lauren of Campbellsport; and one brother, Tom Hunter of West Bend; her grandmother, Anna Lechner; former husband, Dan Hernandez; and three step children, Colin, Cody and Carly Judd. Carey is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends. Carey was preceded in death by her father, Harlan Hunter; step-father, Fred Darling; and grandfathers, Everett Smith and Glenn "Butch" Lechner. A funeral to celebrate Carey's life will take place at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Noon with the Rev. Chuck Apple officiating. Family and friends will gather at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Saturday from 10 am until the time of the service at noon. A memorial fund is being established in her name.
