Bruce Bishop

Bruce F. Bishop, 49, of Cedar Grove, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at his sister's home in Hartford, WI, after battling Leukemia since 2006. Bruce was born on December 5, 1960, in Decatur, IL, son of Frederick and Millie (Huddlleston) Bishop. He was a 1980 graduate of Clinton High School in Clinton, IL. He served in the United States Air Force. Bruce was employed at Grob Inc. in Grafton for approximately 16 years until his retirement in 2009. Bruce was a member of First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove. He will always be remembered as an outstanding basketball player in High School. Bruce enjoyed shopping with his girls, cars, reading, researching, and studying God's word. Bruce is survived by his parents, Frederick Bishop of IL and Millie (Gary) Avery of Bloomington, IL; three daughters, Meghan and Hannah Bishop of Cedar Grove, Alyssa Steitz of Cedarburg; two sisters, Ginger Bishop of Bloomington and Tanya (Tim) Papenthien of Hartford; three brothers, Troy Depouz of TX, David Depouz of IL and Carey Depouz of IL; and his former wife, Janell Bishop of Cedar Grove; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 3:00 pm at First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove with the Rev. Kent Vant Hul officiating. Interment will be private. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Bruce's name for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the First Reformed Church Youth Ministries.
