Bruce Berlowski

July 16, 1951 — November 7, 2013

Bruce J. Berlowski, 62, of Sheboygan Falls died at his residence on Thursday afternoon, November 7, 2013. His big heart passed on to be with his beloved historical figures. It did so only after cementing his hard and fast love for family and education. Bruce was born on July 6, 1951 in Fond du Lac, the son of Louis and Adeline (Schrei) Berlowski. Bruce graduated St. Mary's Springs Academy in Fond du Lac where he claimed to never have earned a demerit, even after accurately correcting one his nun's history lessons. While attending Moraine Park Technical College in Fond du Lac, he met Rose Bushman and the two were married on June 22, 1974 in Fond du Lac. Bruce began working for Kohler Company in August of 1973 and moved to the Sheboygan area. He began in the accounting department; he later transferred to the systems department in 1976 where he held a number of titles before retiring in November of 2011. During his time at the Kohler Co., he earned a bachelors' degree of business from Lakeland College. Currently, Bruce had been working as a consultant for Reveal. The great pride in his life was his family. Bruce and Rose were very active in the lives of their three children and more recently, their three grandchildren. Bruce cherished nothing more than getting the family together for a big meal and spending time together. He was proud that the Berlowski family won the Knights of Columbus Family of the Year Award in 1996. Bruce was the consummate military history buff who always gave you the extra piece of the answer (whether you asked for it or not). Other hobbies included the Green Bay Packers, golf, traveling, spending time with Rose at the casino, the various bridge groups that they were are part of, and he treasured their Sunday morning breakfast club. Bruce leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Rose: and their children: Katrina (Paul) Martin of Oostburg, Bruce (Nicole) Berlowski of Hartford and David (Clare) Berlowski of Hartland. He was blessed to have three beautiful grandchildren: Roman and Sephra Martin and Nolan Berlowski. Additionally, he is survived by his mother, Adeline Berlowski of Fond du Lac and his brother, John (Pat) Berlowski of Oakfield, and Rose's family, Elaine Bushman, Shirley (John) Karl, Duane Olson, Joan (John) Jaeger, Kurt (Debbie) Bushman, and Julia (Tom) Mayer. He is also survived by his best friend, Dennis Newman and countless other friends and family. He was preceded by his father, Louis Berlowski, his parents-in-law, Veronica Bushman-Gruber, Roland Bushman and Erv Gruber and brothers-in-law and sister in-law, Ronald Bushman, Ann Olson, John Bushman and Dick Breister.
