Betty Yurk

Betty A. Yurk, 75 of County Road I, Sheboygan Falls passed away on Friday morning, May 5, 2006 at her home surrounded by her family. Betty was born in Sheboygan on April 4, 1931, the daughter of the late William and Martha (Duening) Schroeder. Betty graduated from Oostburg High School in 1949. Following high school Betty worked at Bemis Mfg. On May 1, 1954 Betty married Roger Yurk at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Betty was a longtime member at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. She was devoted homemaker for her family. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and watching sports, especially the Green Bay Packers. Betty cherished the time she could spend with her family. She is survived by her husband, Roger; one daughter, Kay Yurk of Walworth; two sons, Rick Yurk of Sheboygan, and Ken (Tina) Yurk of Sheboygan Falls; three grandchildren, April (Randy) Eckman, Ashley and Aaron Yurk; three great grandchildren, Kristen, Randi Gena, and Ethan Eckman; and one brother, Robert (Evelyn) Schroeder of Sheboygan Falls. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at 1:30 pm with the Rev. Tom Gudmundson officiating. Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery in Sheboygan. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 11:30 am until of the time of service.
