Betty J. Schnettler, 85, of Sayner, WI and formerly of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Sheboygan Senior Community. Betty was born September 20, 1924 in Plymouth, WI to Albert and Jennie (Lorge) Kellner. She was a 1943 graduate of Sheboygan North High School. On June 26, 1948 she married Robert J. Schnettler at St. Dominics Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Robert passed away on November 25, 1983. Betty was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sayner, WI and formerly a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls. She was an avid golfer, tennis player and fan, and enjoyed playing cards. She loved Plum Lake, the northwoods, and was a major supporter of the Plum Lake Library. Betty is survived by: one daughter, Susan (Bruce) Schrimpf of Milwaukee; four sons, Thomas (Joanie) Schnettler of Kohler, WI, James (Phyllis) Schnettler of Sheboygan Falls, WI, Robert, Jr. (Joya) Schnettler of Sheboygan Falls, Michael (Alison) Schnettler of Louisville, CO; 14 grandchildren, Michael, Elizabeth, and Katherine Schrimpf, Jill (Scott) McGregor, Amy (Martin) Harms, Kyle (Laura) Schnettler, Kya Schnettler, Kale Schnettler, David Schnettler, Mark (Trisha) Schnettler, Robert III (Sarah) Schnettler, Bryan Schnettler, Renee Schnettler, Nicole Schnettler; four great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Evan McGregor, Avery and Jack Harms; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Betty is preceded in death by her: parents; husband Robert; sister, Marion Grube; brother, Harold Kellner. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Bob Lotz officiating. Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the Mass Wednesday at Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls. On Friday, March 5, 2010 Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sayner, WI with Rev. Bernard Bryne officiating. Interment will be in Sayner Cemetery, Town of Plum Lake, Vilas County, WI. Relatives and friends may call one hour prior to the Mass Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sayner. A memorial fund is being established in Betty's name for St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sayner and the Plum Lake Library.
