Betty Meves

Betty Jane Meves, 86, of Sheboygan Falls passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015, at Woodland Manor in Sheboygan Falls. Betty was born on August 7, 1929 in the Town of Holland to Harry and Esther (Werthmann) Meves. She attended the Green School in the Town of Holland. Betty was a loving and devoted homemaker. Betty was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Adell. She enjoyed doing word search, listening to the Lawrence Welk Show and watching TV, especially the Green Bay Packers and America's Funniest Home Videos. Betty is survived by her nieces and nephews, Bev (Alan) Melrose of Kent, WA, Cheri Boucher of San Antonio, TX, Bob Simmelink of Sheboygan Falls, Larry (Kris) Simmelink of Cedar Grove, Gary (Marilyn) Glander of Oostburg, Gail (Paul) Sweeting of Manitowoc, Shirley Scott of Sheboygan and Fred (Jan) Glander of Random Lake. She is further survived by great nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Lucille (Marvin) Simmelink and Marian (Norman) Glander. A funeral service to celebrate Betty's life will be TODAY, Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 4pm at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Adell, with Rev. Christopher Seifferlein officiating. Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery in Sheboygan. Relatives and friends may gather at church on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 2pm until the time of service at 4pm. A memorial fund to Emmanuel Lutheran Church is being established in Betty's name.
