Betty Kalk, 67, of Sheboygan Falls died on Friday evening, October 25, 2013, at Aurora Grafton Medical Center where she had been a patient for the past week. Betty was born on June 18, 1946 in Plymouth, the daughter of the late Gustave and Mary Ann (Mayer) Gerber. She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1964. On December 7, 1968, Betty married Ronald R. Kalk in Plymouth. Betty was office manager at B&B Ford in Sheboygan Falls for 15 years before her retirement in 2005. Betty was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls where she served as a Sunday School Superintendent and teacher. She was a former Campfire leader and volunteered at Neat Repeats in Plymouth and Bookworm Gardens in Sheboygan. She belonged to several book clubs and TOPS. Betty enjoyed reading, going for walks, playing cards, flowers and gardening, baking, cooking, and traveling. Betty enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially the time she had with her grandchildren. She was generous with her family and made each of them feel loved and special. Betty will be missed for her engaging smile and easy laughter. Betty is survived by her husband, Ron, of Sheboygan Falls; two daughters, Missy (Andy) Selk of Plymouth and Arika (Matt) Bertucci of Belgium; one son, Chris (Robin) Kalk of Rib Mountain; five grandchildren, Ryan, Masee, and Carter Selk, Adeline Bertucci, and Reese Kalk; two sisters, Bonnie Gerber of Sheboygan, Denise (Carl) Knapp of Plymouth; two brothers, Donald Gerber of Sheboygan and Glenn (Marty) Gerber of Sturgeon Bay. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Hilda Gerber. A funeral to celebrate Betty's life will take place at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Thursday, October 31, 2013, at 10:30 am with the Revs. Tom Gudmundson and Mark Janzen officiating. Family and friends will gather at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 from 4-8 pm, and on Thursday, at church, from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
