Barbara Lee Bayer, 76, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 22, 2018, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. Barbara L. (Dolgner) Bayer was born on September 27, 1941, in Milwaukee, to Lester and Dorothy (Whitman) Dolgner. She attended Waldo Schools.On August 16, 1958, Barbara married James F. Bayer in Random Lake. Barbara was employed at Bemis Manufacturing for 37 years.She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher. She also served as a campfire leader. She enjoyed reading, playing Sheepshead, cribbage, bingo, crocheting, traveling, spending time with family and friends. Barbara is survived by her three daughters, Cindy (David) Dassow of Plymouth, Teri (Tom) Gottowski of Manitowoc, Dawn (Rudy) Thimmig of Sheboygan Falls; two sons, James (Debbie) Bayer of Sheboygan Falls, and Jeffrey (Julie) Bayer of Sheboygan; 16 grandchildren, Mandy (Josh) Hermann, Corey (Nicole) Dassow, Branden (Tara) Kuehl, Jennifer Gottowski, Christopher Gottowski, Hailey (Jordan) Thimmig, Mitchell Thimmig, Devin Bayer, Conner Bayer, Mackenzie Ryan, Ben Cichocki, Christine and Sarah Horness, Jackson, Avery, and Sebastian Bayer; four great grandchildren, Ellie and Zoie Hermann, Morgan Gottowski, Sophia Kuehl; six brothers, Richard (Sandy) Dolgner; Randy (Rachel) Dolgner, Dennis (Patty) Dolgner, Scott (Linda) Dolgner; Gene Dolgner; David Dolgner; one sister, Joyce Whitman; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James Frank Bayer; one grandson, Cody James Kuehl; one sister, Ginny Dolgner; one brother, Leslie Dolgner. A memorial service to celebrate Barbara's life will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Wenig Funeral Homes in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Mark Janzen officiating. A private family inurnment will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.Relatives and friends may greet the family for a time of visitation on Thursday at the Wenig Funeral Homes in Sheboygan Falls from 3:30 pm until the time of service at 6:30 pm.The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Sharon S.
