Arthur Eslinger

Arthur E. Eslinger, 81, of Sheboygan Falls died unexpectedly while fishing in Manitowoc on Friday, June 12, 2015. Art was born on December 30, 1933 in Mishicot, the son of the late Edgar and Marie (Petersohn) Eslinger. Art attended Sheboygan area school and served in the United States Navy. Throughout his life he worked at Reliance Construction as a roller operator and later worked and retired from Wagner Excavating in 1998. On October 29, 1960 he married Bonita Ann Kaat. She preceded him in death on July 1, 1999. He will be fondly remembered for his story telling and his humorous sense of teasing. In his earlier years, he enjoyed motorcycle riding, stock car racing, and snowmobiling. Later in life, he enjoyed "making wood", hunting, fishing and wine making. He also enjoyed tinkering in his garage on motors and fixing things. Art is survived by two daughters, Wendy (Richard) Meyer of Sheboygan Falls and Tammy (Wayne) Halbach of Sheboygan Falls; five grandchildren, Cody (Liz) Martin, Dustin Martin, Luke (fiancé Samantha) Halbach, Jacob (fiancé Ana) Halbach, and Rebecca Halbach; one great grandaughter, Kylee Martin; one sister, Ellie (George) Langkabel of Plymouth; one sister-in-law, Marlene Wassink of Sheboygan and one brother-in-law, Roy (Lora) Kaat of Sheboygan Falls; nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonita; parents; and two brothers, Donald and Howard Eslinger. A funeral to celebrate Art's life will take place at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 6:30 pm, with the Rev. David Van Dixhorn officiating. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park in the Town of Sheboygan. Family and friends will gather at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Monday from 4 pm until the time of the service at 6:30 pm.
