Arlyn Klingbeil

Arlyn Gene Klingbeil, 86, of Sheboygan, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at his home at Mapledale Senior Apartments in the Town of Sheboygan, with family at his side. Arlyn was born on September 26, 1929, in the Town of Brooklyn in Green Lake Country, son of Carl and Helen (Krentz) Klingbeil. He attended Green Lake County schools. On October 6, 1951, he married Maxine Hobbs at Scott Street First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon. Arlyn farmed in the Markesan area before moving to Sheboygan Falls. In 1964, Arlyn began his employment in the Engine Division of Kohler Company, where he worked until his retirement. Arlyn was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. He was a member of the Kohler Company Quarter Century Club. Arlyn enjoyed dartball for nearly 50 years, fishing, woodworking, playing Sheepshead with friends at Mapledale, and attending his grandchildren's activities. Arlyn is survived by his wife of 64 years, Maxine; his two sons, David (Rosalie) Klingbeil and Michael (Roxanne) Klingbeil, both of Sheboygan; his daughter, Cindy Klingbeil of Whitefish Bay; his daughter-in-law, Shirley Klingbeil of Madison; five grandchildren, Brian (Fiancé Trina Seger) Klingbeil, Carl (Michelle) Klingbeil, Ashley Klingbeil, Travis Klingbeil, and Taylor Klingbeil; and two sisters-in-law, Betty Marx of Fond du Lac and Mary Hammen of Ripon. Arlyn is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Arlyn was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Kevin Klingbeil, brother-in-law, Orice Hammen, and a niece, Julie Ninnemann. Funeral services to celebrate Arlyn's life will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, November 30, 2015, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Mark Janzen officiating. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. Relatives and friends may gather on Monday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Arlyn's name for St. Paul Lutheran Church and St. Nicholas Hospice.
