With the sun coming through the window on Sunday morning, May 13, 2012, Arline H. Lammers, 82, of Oostburg, received the gift of eternal life while at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center. Arline was born on March 23, 1930, in the Town of Sheboygan, daughter of Ferdinand and Hedwig (Wehrmann) Meyer. She was a 1949 graduate of Sheboygan Central High School. On August 1, 1952, she married LeRoy R. Lammers in Sheboygan. Following her marriage, Arline worked at the Kohler Co. and H.C Prange Co. for several years. Arline and her husband owned a dairy farm in the Town of Holland for 32 years. LeRoy preceded her in death on January 9, 1999. Arline was a member of First Reformed Church in Oostburg. She was active in Young at Hearts, the Mission Circle, and the funeral lunch committee. Arline was a member of the Sheboygan Christian Women's Club, Cedar Grove American Legion Auxiliary, and the Sheboygan County Farm Bureau. She enjoyed needlepoint, sewing, cooking, baking, gardening, flowers, traveling, and playing dominoes and cards. Arline is survived by one daughter, Deb (Mark) Hopeman of Cedar Grove; one son, Stanley (Wendy) Lammers of Oostburg; six grandchildren, Kevin (Tanya), Michelle, Daniel (Traci), Jason (Jeni) Hopeman, and Heather (special friend Dylan Boden), and Sabrina Lammers; six great-grandchildren, Natalie, Austin, Tyler, Madelyn, Noah and Lauren Hopeman; one sister, Lorraine (Larry) Koepsel of Sheboygan; two sisters-in-law, Judy Meyer of Sheboygan, Betty (Francis) Klingeisen of Sheboygan Falls, Eileen Meyer of Sheboygan, and one brother-in-law, Woodrow Swenson of MN. Arline was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, LeRoy; one son, Jim Lammers; one granddaughter, Amy Hopeman, one great-grandson, Parker Hopeman; seven brothers, LeRoy, Milton (LaVerne), Martin (Lucy), Elwood, Ervin (Lovey), and Paul Meyer and one infant brother, Elmer Meyer; and one sister, Gertrude Swenson. Funeral services to celebrate Arline's life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the First Reformed Church in Oostburg with the Rev. Brian Taylor officiating. A family service will precede at 10:45 am in the fellowship hall. Burial will take place in Hartman Cemetery in the Town of Wilson.
