Arlene Moenning

Arlene A. Moenning, 82, of Sheboygan, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014, at Meadowview Manor with her family at her side. Arlene was born on March 28, 1932, in Sheboygan, daughter of Guy and Dorothea (Mittelstaedt) Strong. She attended Trinity Lutheran School in Sheboygan. On April 5, 1947, she married Marvin A. Moenning in Brillon. Marvin passed away on June 4, 2013. Arlene was a member of Praise Fellowship Church in Sheboygan. She enjoyed crocheting, going to casinos, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Arlene is survived by her three daughters, Donna Lampe of Sheboygan, Joyce (Joseph) Ryder of Merrill, and Gladys (Michael) Richards of Sheboygan; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one special sister, Louise Gilman of Sheboygan; and one brother, Ronald Campbell of Reedsville; and two sisters-in-law, Sandra Campbell of California and Mildred Campbell of Sheboygan. Arlene was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Marvin, an infant son, Arthur Moenning, her daughter, Marlene Moenning, her son-in-law, Jerry Lampe, two sisters, and two brothers. Funeral services to celebrate Arlene's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg with Rev. Chuck Apple officiating. Burial will take place at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm. A memorial fund has been established in Arlene's name for the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation.
