Ardelle Wedepohl

Ardelle B. Wedepohl, 91, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Monday evening, January 12, 2015, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Ardelle was born on February 19, 1923, in Sheboygan, daughter of Nick F. and Hilda M. (Schneider) Jensen. She graduated from Holy Name Catholic Grade School in 1936 and Sheboygan North High School in 1940. On April 19, 1947, she married Earl F. Wedepohl in Sheboygan. Earl passed away on May 23, 1980. Ardelle was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in the Town of Sheboygan Falls, where she was active in Martha Circle. She was also a St. Nicholas Hospital volunteer. Ardelle was a member of the Sheboygan County Farm Bureau, the Homemakers Club, and various card clubs. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Ardelle is survived by her two daughters, Kaye (James) Jaeger of Rhinelander and Sandra (Keith) Witte of Arcadia; her son, Wayne (Carol) Wedepohl of Sheboygan Falls; five grandchildren, Scott (Fiancé Jenn) Jaeger, Eric Witte, David (Fiancé Heidi) Witte, Rebecca (Spencer) Wicklund, and Laura Witte; and one great-granddaughter, Emma Wicklund. Ardelle is further survived by nieces and nephews. Ardelle was preceded in death by her husband, Earl, and her brother, Col. William (Judy) Jensen. Funeral services to celebrate Ardelle's life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at St. Luke Lutheran Church with Rev. Elizabeth Jaeger officiating. Burial will take place in St. Lucas Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am. A memorial fund has been established in Ardelle's name for St. Luke Lutheran Church.
