Annette TeRonde

Annette C. TeRonde, 95, of Cedar Grove, died on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Aurora Sheboygan Medical Center with her family at her side. Annette was born on January 3, 1917 in the Town of Holland, the daughter of the late Dirk and Anna (DeMaster) Lohuis. Annette graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1934 and then attended two years of college. She married the late Ellsworth TeRonde on April 21, 1939 in Cedar Grove. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1994. Annette worked at the 4-H Extension Office for five years and then the H. C. Prange Co. in Sheboygan for 15 years prior to her retirement. Annette was a lifetime and devoted member at the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Cedar Grove, was a Sunday school teacher, deacon, was a member of the Loyal Hearts, and sang in the choir for over 60 years. She volunteered at the Cedar Grove Library, Sheboygan County Mental Health Assoc., Senior Citizens, and was a 4-H leader. Annette was chosen to represent Wisconsin at a national 4-H Leadership Conference in Washington DC. She enjoyed reading, music, cooking, baking, going for walks, and spending time outdoors. Annette was always concerned for others and devoted much time to helping anyone in need. Annette is survived by a daughter, Judy (James) Bruggink of Cedar Grove; two sons, Allan (Marilyn) TeRonde of Northbrook, IL and Larry (Linda) TeRonde of Cedar Grove; ten grandchildren: Kevin (LuAnn) Bruggink, Brian (Julie) Bruggink, Alannah and Chanise Bruggink, Vincent TeRonde, Lawrence (Keri) TeRonde, Diane (Timothy) Wiltse, Michelle Gorski, Lynne (Danny) Thomas, Wendy (Bernie) Haugh; 13 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; one brother, Delmont Lohuis of Chesterfield, VA; and three sisters-in-law, Shirlee Lohuis of Vero Beach, FL, Joy Lohuis of Salinas, CA, and Barbara (Ed) Henze of Albany, OR. Annette was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, Lois (Rev. David) Laman and Dorothy (Fred) Luquer; five brothers, Kenneth, Dwight, William, Glenn, and Howard Lohuis. Funeral services to celebrate Annette's life will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Cedar Grove with the Rev. Justin Sembler officiating. Burial will follow at the Presbyterian Cemetery in the Town of Holland. Family and friends may gather at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Tuesday from 4-8 pm, and on Wednesday, at church, from 12:30 until the time of the service at 1:30 pm.
