Anne R. Fikkert, 91, of Sheboygan Falls, formerly of Toms River, NJ, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls. Anne was born January 14, 1919 in Woodhaven, Long Island, NY to Henry and Katherine (Eichhorst) Fikkert. She graduated from Rutherford High School in Rutherford, NJ. She worked as a paralegal for many years before her retirement. She enjoyed painting and needlework. Anne is survived by: one sister-in-law, Evangeline "Van" Fikkert of Oostburg; two nephews, Stephen(Patricia) Fikkert of Mt. Vernon, WA, Brian (Jill) Fikkert of Chattanooga, TN, one niece, Marcia (Rev. Allen) Vander Pol of Cape Coral, FL; great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends. Anne was preceded in death by her: parents; two sisters, Katherine Knauth and Isabel Fikkert; one brother, Rev. Henry Fikkert. To honor Anne's request, there will be no funeral services. She will be buried in Oostburg Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Pastor John Tinsley for his faithful pastoral visits to Anne. In addition we are grateful to Heart Land Hospice for providing wonderful comfort over the last months and for years of faithful care at the hands of the wonderful staff and nurses at Pine Haven Christian Home.
