Ann Marie Schultz, 79, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Sharon Richardson Community Hospice.
Ann was born on July 8, 1945, and lovingly adopted by Elmer and Amanda Johnson and cherished as their child in her first year of life. She graduated from Bonduel High School in 1963 as the valedictorian of her class with numerous academic and achievement awards. She was the recipient of the Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow award and a full college scholarship at the end of her high school graduation. She was also the recipient of numerous 4-H awards.
On October 2, 1965, she was united in marriage to Donald F. Schultz in Lessor, Wisconsin and then moved to Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin.
Ann was a great listener and friend and spent time helping others in their time of need. She was a gifted gardener as well as a talented cook/baker. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. In the early years, she taught Sunday School at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. She worked as a caregiver for over 35 years, initially at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. She and her husband continued caregiving after she left Sunny Ridge Nursing Home and had a Community Based Residential Facility group home up until ten years ago.
Ann is survived by her husband, Donald; daughters, Lori Schultz McLeod of St. Louis, Missouri and Lynn Schultz of Leawood, Kansas; grandchildren, Alexandra (McLeod) West and son in law Tyler West of Kansas City, Missouri, as well as Anna Katherine McLeod, Caroline McLeod and Timothy John McLeod, II all of St. Louis, Missouri; sister Janice (Johnson) Schroeder of Shawano, Wisconsin; nephew, Jonathan Schroder of Shawano, Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her parents and parents in law Frederick and Victoria (Rode) Schultz, Jr.
A funeral service will be held at Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Wednesday, April 16th, 2025, at 4pm. A livestream of the service can be viewed by visiting Ann’s obituary page on wenigfh.com.
Relatives and guests may greet the family at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until the time of service.
Memorials are appreciated in Ann’s name to Sharon Richardson Community Hospice and Sheboygan County Food Bank.
