Angus Schocko

August 20, 1949 — May 29, 2021

Angus Schocko, age 71, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021 at St. Nicholas Hospital after a brief illness.

Angus was born August 20, 1949, the son of Julia Schocko Martell. He graduated from St. Mary’s School in Lake Leelanau, MI and went on to study Commercial Art at Milwaukee Area Technical College. He worked as a truck driver in the Sheboygan area, retiring from RCS.

On March 8, 1969 he was united in marriage with Nancy Dulmes in Traverse City, MI.

A longtime member of Gibbsville Reformed Church, Angus touched countless lives with his calm and reassuring assistance as he helped people in their day to day lives. He made a difference more times than he knew. A handyman at heart, Angus enjoyed building, maintaining, and repairing things around his home and yard. He also enjoyed painting, hiking, and vacationing with his wife.

Angus is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy, and their daughters: Sheila (Curtis) Teunissen of Sheboygan Falls and Christine (Dale) Katsma of Laona. He is further survived by his grandchildren: Joey (Nicole) Claudon, Cody (Dominique) Grill, Ethan Teunissen and McClaren Teunissen; 6 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; sister Carol Schocko; brothers Bill (Robin) Martell and Kenny (Jane) Martell; brothers and sisters-in-law: Barb (Larry) LeMahieu, Laurie Turner, Dale (Betty) Dulmes and Mark (Joy) Dulmes; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, sisters Roseanne Schocko, Kathleen Maldonado and Judith Schocko and brother Leroy Schocko.

A Memorial Service celebrating Angus’ life will be held at 11AM on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Gibbsville Reformed Church, N3145 Hwy 32 in Gibbsville. If unable to attend, all are welcome to join via livestream by visiting wenig.live/AngusSchocko . The family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday from 9:00-11:00AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Anchor of Hope Health Center.
