Angela Lewis

Angela Marie (Arpke) Lewis, 34, of Alexandria, VA and formerly of Sheboygan Falls died on Monday, November 3, 2014. Angela was born on January 19, 1980 in Sheboygan, the daughter of James and Carol (Schinabeck) Arpke. She was a 1998 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School where she was a member of the Sheboygan Falls Band, playing the clarinet and saxophone. She furthered her education receiving a BS in Architectural Engineering from MSOE in 2002, a MS in Civil Engineering from Michigan Tech in 2004, a Masters in Engineering - Architecture from Penn State in 2009, and a Philosophical Doctorate in Facilities Management from University of Reading UK in 2012. Angela married Peter A. Lewis on March 25, 2006 in Sheboygan. She was a member of Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, VA and enjoyed cooking, baking, decorating cakes and spending time with her family. Angela was an avid runner participating in many marathons and benefit runs. She was most recently employed as an Engineer at Facility Engineering Associates in Fairfax, VA but also worked for Building Intelligence Group of St. Paul, MN and Vanderweil Engineers of Alexandria, VA while advancing her academic studies. She also enjoyed additional work with ASHRAE, NAPE, and especially IFMA. Angela is survived by her husband, Peter Lewis of Alexandria, VA; a daughter, Lillian; her parents, James and Carol Arpke of Sheboygan Falls; a brother, John (Nicole) Arpke of School Hill; niece Alice; her grandmother, Carole Schinabeck of Sheboygan; and her parents-in-law, Harold Lewis of Hastings, MI and Patricia (Robert) Hornick, of Grand Rapids, MI; her brother-in-law, Nicholas (Emily) Lewis of Clayton, MO; niece Ella; her sister-in-law Anna (Joshua) Warren of Grand Rapids, MI; nephew Eliott and niece Libby Jeanne. Angela is also survived by uncles, aunts, and cousins. Family and friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Tuesday from 4-8 pm, and on Wednesday, from 9:30 am until the time of the service at 10:30 am. A funeral to celebrate Angela's life will take place at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 10:30 am with the Rev. Gregory Whelton officiating. Burial will follow at the Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. There will also be a memorial at Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, VA on Saturday November 15, 2014 at 10:30 am with Rev. Robert Melone officiating.
