Aldine H. Salzer, 95, of Sheboygan died at Sunny Ridge Health Care Center on Sunday afternoon, June 8, 2008 where she had resided since February. Aldine was born on February 25, 1913, the daughter of the late Rudolph and Martha (Schoenfeld) Vater. She graduated from Plymouth High School in1930. On August 12, 1933 she married the late Oscar Salzer in Sheboygan Falls. She and Oscar observed their 70th wedding anniversary in 2003. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Sheboygan and the Ladies Guild. She enjoyed gardening and flowers. Aldine loved and cared for her family very much. She was a homemaker and stay at home mom. She was a good friend, gardener, and neighbor; with a prayer list a mile long. Aldine is survived by a daughter, Sandra Schmideler of Sheboygan, a daughter-in-law, Kathleen Salzer of Lehigh Acres, Florida; six grandchildren, Debra (Brian) Titel, Linda (Peter) Cotter, Ronda Axt, Gay Lynn (Richard) Schoos, Glen (Kay) Schmideler, Dale (Shelley) Schmideler; eight great grandchildren, Justin and Mitchell Titel, Aaron (Tamara) and Zachary Cotter, Kathryn and Michael Schoos, Matthew and Elizabeth Schmideler. Aldine was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar; a son, Ronald; and one brother, Alroy Vater. Funeral services will be held at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Friday, June 13, 2008 at 11 am with the Rev. Bryan Osladil officiating. Burial will take place at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Friday from 10 am until the time of the service at 11 am.
