Alda Lammers

June 10, 1910 — October 17, 2011

Alda D. Lammers, 91, of Sheboygan Falls, formerly of Oostburg, passed away Monday, October 17, 2011, at St. Nicholas Hospital. Alda was born June 10, 1920 in the Town of Holland to Arthur and May (Eernisse) Dulmes. She was a 1938 graduate of Oostburg High School. On September 27, 1940, Alda married Lester Lammers in the Town of Holland. Lester passed away October 6, 1999. Alda was a member of the Gibbsville Reformed Church where she was involved with the Women Missionaries Society and Bethany Circle. She was also active in the Homemakers Club and the Oostburg Senior Center. Alda loved spending time with her family, and flower gardening. Alda is survived by: one daughter, Charlotte (Eldon) Rahn of the Town of Sheboygan; one son, Jerome (Elaine) Lammers of the Town of Sheboygan; five granddaughters, Jodi (Gregg) Buntin, Jennifer (Gale) Vogler, Amy (Eric) Glewen, Christine Meyer, and Becky (Al) Raasoch; eight great-grandchildren, Rebekah and Benjamin Yurk, Joshua and Samuel Buntin, Emily, Jacob, Megan, and Zachary Glewen; four step-grandchildren, Wade (Ann) Rahn, Debbie and Valerie Rahn, Jennifer (Andy) Vreeke; four step-great-grandchildren, Matthew and Hannah Vreeke, Joseph and Madelyn Rahn; one sister-in-law Ruth Dulmes of Sheboygan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Alda was preceded in death by her: parents; husband Lester; one brother Clarence Dulmes; one infant brother; son-in-law, Kenneth Meyer. Funeral services to celebrate Alda's life will be at 11:00 am on Friday, October 21, 2011, at Gibbsville Reformed Church with Rev. John Ornee officiating. Interment will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may call from 9:00 am until the time of the service Friday at the church. A memorial fund has been established in Alda's name for Gibbsville Reformed Church and Pine Haven Christian Home. Alda's family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Dean Mancheski, Dr. Robert Horth, and the staff at Pine Have Christian Home for their wonderful care and compassion.
