Adeline Stapelkamp

Adeline C. Stapelkamp. 90, of Cedar Grove, died on Monday evening, December 1, 2014 at Anita's Gardens in Port Washington. Adeline was born on February 19, 1924 in Sheboygan, the daughter of Albert and Augusta (Kroll) Lienau. She was a 1942 graduate of Sheboygan Central High School. On August 27, 1949 Adeline married Herbert Stapelkamp in Baraboo. Adeline was a longtime member of the First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove where she served as librarian and sang in the choir. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Adeline enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, knitting, bowling and spending time with her family. Adeline is survived by her husband of 65 years, Herbert of Port Washington; five daughters, Patricia Stapelkamp, Roxanne (Ronnald) Tyler of Houston, TX; Pamela (Kurt) Ostmann of Wausau, Lori (Craig) Bilgrien of Apple Valley, MN, and Lynn (Steven) Harber of Austin ,MN; one son, Richard (Debra) Stapelkamp of Cedar Grove; ten grandchildren, Dennis (Laura) Stapelkamp, Kevin (April) Stapelkamp, Gail (Tyler) Biederwolf, Michael McQuide, David (Jennifer) Ostmann, Roanne Ostmann, Katie and Eric Bilgrien, Christopher (Ali) Harber, and Mark Harber; seven great grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law, Alma Hoopman and Jean Heidemann, both of Cedar Grove and Shirley Kurth of Kewaskum. Adeline is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Adeline was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Wm. Henry "Billy" Stapelkamp; four sisters, Mildred (Frederick) Engel, LaVerne (Harvey) Rewer, Gladys Lienau and Baby Lienau; and one brother, Harvey (Erna) Lienau. A funeral to celebrate Adeline's life will take place at the First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 11 am. with the Rev. Kent Vant Hul officiating. Burial will take place at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at the First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove on Friday from 9am until the time of the service.
