Adeline Emilie (Widder) Lorenz, 92, formerly of 134 Giddings Avenue, Sheboygan Falls, passed away on July 12, 2007 at Attic Angel Place in Madison. She was born on August 28, 1914 in Sheboygan County, to the late Gustav and Ida (Miller) Widder. She attended schools in the Sheboygan Falls area. On May 25, 1940, Adeline was united in marriage to Donald J. Lorenz at St. Mary's Parsonage. They were married for 50 years before Donald preceded her in death in 1991. Adeline loved her family and having them together for family gatherings. She traveled all over the country to be with her family. One of the last trips was to Alaska for her grandson's wedding. She took great pride in her home and enjoyed the beauty of her flower gardens. Adeline was known for her excellent cooking and wonderful baked goods. She was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish where she had been an active volunteer. Adeline is survived by her children: Carol (Richard) Berge of Texas, Robert (Sally) of Madison, James (Joan) of New Jersey, and Julie (Vincent) Candura of New Hampshire; 10 grandchildren: Mark Berge, Carrie Berge, Christine Conrad (Randy) Oelke, Catherine Conrad, Stan Jr. (Shawn) Conrad, Rebecca Lorenz (Derek) Peterson, Carolyn Lorenz (Matt) Greenberg, Steven (Rose) Lorenz, Kimberly Lorenz and Lucas Lorenz; 3 great grandchildren: Alyssa Oelke, Jayden Oelke, and Caleb Lorenz. Further survivors are 4 sisters: Elda Kalk, Irma (Wesley) Prange, Violet Ter Maat and Mary (William) Pohland; 3 brothers: Frederick (Margaret), Willard (Audrey), and Leonard (Geraldine) Widder, as well as sister-in-law Florence Lorenz, son-in-law Stan Conrad, and numerous other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son Daniel, and daughter Ann Marie Conrad, sister Norma Klemme and brother Roland Widder, also brothers-in-law Delbert Klemme, Melvin Kalk, George Ter Maat, Clemens Lorenz, and sister-in-law Clara Widder. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 16, 2007 at Blessed Trinity Parish Church in Sheboygan Falls, with Rev. Robert Lotz officiating. Burial will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Sunday, July 15, 2007 from4-7 p.m. and on Monday at church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. A vigil will be held on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Donations in remembrance of Adeline's life can be made either to Attic Angel Association, 640 Junction Road, Madison, WI, 53717, or to St. Mary School at Blessed Trinity Parish, 313 Giddings Avenue, Sheboygan Falls, WI, 53085-1598. The family would like to especially thank all the staff and volunteers at Attic Angel Place for filling Adeline's last 5 years with singing and enjoyment.
