Abram H. TeBeest, 96, of N3024 State Road 32, Oostburg went home to be with his Lord on Thursday morning, January 17, 2008 at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Center in Sheboygan Falls. Abram was born on November 16, 1911 in the Town of Lima, the son of the late Henry and Dora (Huenink) TeBeest. Abram attended Horace Mann School in the Town of Lima. He married the late Cora Kranendonk in the Town of Lima on August 30, 1933. She preceded him in death on December 5, 1989. He worked as an electrician at TeBeest Electric from 1950-78. Previously he worked as an auto mechanic at Heinen and Bruggink in Gibbsville. He also did lawn mower repair for many local residents. Abram was a lifelong member at Gibbsville Reformed Church where he served as a deacon, elder, Sunday school teacher, and a member of the Building Committee. He served on Words of Hope Board and the Gibbsville School Board. He was a Wisconsin licensed master plumber. Abram enjoyed woodworking, lawn mowing, traveling, and sending greeting cards to many people honoring their special events. Abram enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Fuhr of Grafton and Edith (Chuck) Daane of Oostburg; one son, Kenneth (Lynne) TeBeest of Oostburg; two daughters-in-law, Ginny TeBeest of Delanco, New Jersey, and Janet TeBeest of Oostburg; 12 grandchildren, Brenda (Jim) Harvieux, Ericka VanDee, Brian Fuhr, Scott (Michele) Daane, Cindy Byrne, Joe (Karen) TeBeest, Randy (Bonnie) TeBeest, Jim (Nancy) TeBeest, Becky (Pat) Connor, Sally (Jeff) Prinsen, Tom (Angi) TeBeest, Amy (friend Andy Nelson) TeBeest; 25 great grand children; and a special friend, Carol Sandee of Oostburg. Abram was preceded in death by his wife, Cora; two sons, Roger and Howard TeBeest; two grandsons, an infant grandson and Timothy Daane; one sister, Alice TenDolle; and one brother, Harvey TeBeest. Funeral services will be held at the Gibbsville Reformed Church at 10:30 am, on Monday, January 21, 2008 with the Rev. Gerald A. Dykstra officiating. A family service will precede at 10:15 am in the choir room. Burial will take place at Oostburg Cemetery. Friends may greet the family on Sunday, January 20, 2008 from 1-4 pm at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg, and on Monday, at church, from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
