Phyllis Hinz

Phyllis Marie Hinz, 88, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at St. Nicholas Hospital.

Phyllis was born to Arthur and Verbena (Cotter) Lehman on July 6, 1932 in the Town of Richmond in Shawano County. She graduated from Waldo High School in 1950.

She was united in marriage to Vernon Hinz on June 10, 1950 in Adell. Vernon preceded her in death in October of 1993.

Phyllis was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. She enjoyed dancing, crafts, playing cards, cooking, baking, traveling, flowers, and gardening.

Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (Fred McDaniel) Niesen of Elkhart Lake; sons, Gary (Mary) Hinz of Waldo and Todd Hinz of Plymouth; grandchildren, Justin (Brittney) Niesen, Jodi (Troy) Gould, Jamie (Derek) Klug, John (Destiny) Hinz, Michael Hinz, Amanda Hinz; 6 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister, Judith (Dick) Rortvedt of Plymouth; brother, Robert (Kathy) Lehman of Adell; brother-in-law, Oliver (Bevery) Hinz of Adell; friend, John Leverenz of Three Lakes; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Vernon; brother, Orvis (Carol) Lehman; and sister-in-law, Shirley (Vernon) Emley.

A private family service was held.

Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society in Phyllis’ name.
